Professional Support, Inc. (PSI) has been providing quality recruiting and placement services to Western New York businesses since 1980. We are actively seeking an experienced recruiting professional to join our team as we expand our business to accommodate the growing demand for our services.
Qualified candidates for the Recruiter position will:
Develop and support recruiting strategies designed to identify qualified candidates through various recruiting tools. Experience with traditional recruiting sources (Monster, Careerbuilder, DICE, etc.) is a plus. Regular use of Social Media sites (LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.) is a must.
Evaluate candidates’ strengths compared with clients’ requirements by evaluating, screening, and interviewing the candidate. A proven aptitude for matching technical skills and personal/professional attributes is required.
Negotiate wage rates and other terms and conditions of employment with candidates, and gain commitment from candidates for current and future job requirements. The ability to be professional, confidential and candidate-focused is required.
Complete necessary pre-employment processes including reference checks and background/drug tests.
Communicate effectively with others in order to create a productive and diverse environment. This position requires the ability to communicate in a clear and professional matter. You will regularly communicate with peers by sharing recruiting “best practices” and providing accurate, thorough documentation on candidates in applicant tracking systems or other documentation tools. You will also maintain relationships with industry contacts to provide customer service, gain industry knowledge, and get referrals and sales leads.
Qualified candidates for the Recruiter position must:
Have at least 3 years experience in the position of recruiter. Outside sales experience in the staffing industry is a plus.
Be available to work before/after typical office hours as work may demand.
Possess strong written and oral English communication skills.
Have a desire to learn and advance in a fast-paced team environment, and be capable of regularly using good judgment and discretion to accomplish goals and work requirements.
